Why try to capture ,with paint,thecharacter and personality of these
natural and man-made objects in an age where seductive photographic
images would seem to do it with such ease?
I'm still not sure...it's a love affair with shape, an obsession
with 'things' , a belief that I can draw out essential qualities in my
subjects by the way I look at them and represent them on paper
